Today I was loner for the first bit, so I did a warm up lap, then
5 x 500 sprint paddlebacks.
These felt alright, but I was alone so I wasn't really as motivated as usual.
After that I did my best to keep on Pete's wash for 3 laps.
good session.

Wednesday 21st Jan
Today's session was hard but i liked it.
6x1000 at marathon pace
I for the most part did well on the first half and not so hot on the second.
Didn't become much easier as the more that we did, the further back the others were when we turned around.
Although i still felt that i really put in a lot of effort, and i was quite sure i was going to chuck during the second half of the latter 1000's.

Monday 19th Jan
Today was a good session
Had the occy strap on. Right from the start i could really feel where the pressure was on my paddle, and where i was being inefficient. Also became a lot more stable which allowed me to really slow down my rate.
Once we took that off, I really felt jumpy and even a bit unbalanced, I think my technique was actually a lot better with the occy strap on.
During the portage practise, the get out's were fine, but it took me a long time to figure out how to hold my boat, and my get in's were shocking.
Watched whatshisname do his and decided to copy him, which is to grab it at the front while getting out onto the land, then shifting my hand down the cockpit for the run, and further down again when getting in.
worked well.

Saturday 17th Jan
Today was an alright session.
Didn't go too hard, just tried to break myself back into it.
Portages reminded me how much i hate them.
After about 3 laps i started to get a good rhythm, felt a lot better.
Not much else to say.

Friday 16th Jan
Got back from QLD yesterday.
Went for a paddle today, no one there.
I assume Travis is on holiday somewhere.
Just did 3 laps, some hard, some technique, just random stuff.
Had a strange psycho burst for about half a km. Felt really, really fast, and technique was awesome.
Probably needed my release after 2 weeks without a paddle :P

Saturday 20th Dec
Today was pretty awesome like yesterday
I was able to put a lot of the stuff we did last night into practice.
1st race - Started well, Jono's steering cable came loose and as a result kind of came into me, but didn't slow me too much.
2nd race was good, able to get onto Trav's wash for a little while, kept good speed after i dropped off.
3rd race Trav wen't nuts, Jon became incapacitated and Jono sat on my wash the entire time and then sprinted me off at the end, major dog. Trav timed us, got about 12min flat
Really liked how i went, kept about the same pace as the sprints last night, which was pretty easy to do as my stroke rate was much lower.
